How We Work

A Dedicated Project Manager

Every project undertaken by Broadstairs Decorating Services has a dedicated project manager who supervises every aspect of the work. Your PM will be available to answer any queries you may have between the hours of 8am and 7pm Monday to Saturday.

They will visit your project approximately 3 times each week. Among other tasks, at each visit they will undertake the following checks and procedures:

  • Assess the progress in order to update you on performance against the agreed timetable.
  • Monitor the quality of work and instigate any remedial work required – this approach often dramatically reduces irritating ‘snagging’ and project over-runs.
  • Review the specification and if necessary advise you on any new considerations or potential enhancements to the original specification for your consideration.

Depending on your availability your PM will try to arrange for you to be present on at least one of these visits.

A Team of Experienced Craftsmen

A tried and trusted employee of Broadstairs Decorating Services will lead the team on site. This team leader will have the intelligence, skills and professionalism to efficiently manage the project at a day-to-day level. All of our team members have been with us for some time and as well as being highly skilled in their respective trade, they are also familiar with our specific work practices and high standards.

These are a few of the working standards that we insist on from all our craftsmen:

  • During works the site will be kept as clean and tidy as possible and efficient to the work being done.
  • All carpets, rooms and work areas are thoroughly protected prior to decoration.
  • The working day begins at 8a.m and ends at 5pm – with 3 breaks taken throughout the day.
  • Team members present themselves in clean and appropriate attire.
  • They are polite and courteous at all times.
  • They are conscious of the needs of other trades and users of the premises.
  • At the end of each day the team will tidy up properly.

A common complaint among clients of other decorating companies is that whilst the work may be completed to an acceptable standard at the end of the works the site is left in a hurry with little attention being paid to the tidying up, removing rubbish, washing down dust from driveways etc. At the end of the job your project manager will personally supervise this process.
